That's a Wrap!

Rebecca: Welcome to the Sequoia Breeze Podcast, a breath of fresh air for your homeschool. I am your host, Rebecca LaSavio. Thank you for joining me today. This will be our very last episode of season six and it's actually just going to be a little mini wrap up.

It's been a great season. It feels like a really long time ago that we started this season with the last 11 episodes actually.

And I just want to touch base with all of you listeners and ask you to interact with me. I would love to hear from you about this season. Did any of the episodes really hit home?

Were you really encouraged? Did it solve a problem that you had been having in your home school? Were you inspired to take action after one of them? Did somebody share one of these episodes with you and it just was a light bulb?

Were, did, did you share it with somebody else and realize that this was just what they needed? There are a couple of different ways that you could get in touch with me and tell me about it.

The first is the one I say every week that you can email me at podcasts@sequoiagrove.org but there's another way that's kind of fun and I'm going to put a link to it in the show notes because it's not the easiest way to find.

But there's a very cool button that you can use to send a voice message to me and if you get to the right page on the websites, you will find it and it just says start recording and it will send me an email that you have left me a recording.

And the best part is if I can get several of these, I can include them on a future episode and share with others how you have learned or ideas that you've tried ways that you've been inspired by the Sequoia Breeze.

So I would love to hear from you. It is on each school's website. So for example, Clarksville Charter School, you can go up to the little three bars in the right hand corner, find resources, and then it'll take you to the podcast page and from there there's a button.

But I will also put a link for each school's website so that you can find that button and I would love to get a bunch of those messages. I would love to hear from you answers to some of the types of questions like did the episode on Bookshark help you take better control of the curriculum?

Was it something you'd been trying to use and struggling with? Did it help? How are you able to be more relaxed as a family? As you enjoy those books together.

How are your gardens doing? Did you get some fall gardens planted? I would love to see pictures of your gardens. That would be so much fun. Did you make any changes with your phone?

How's it going? I'm still working on that one.

Did hearing about Reese's experience with the trauma that her family faced help your family understand your own responses better? Things that maybe have happened in the past that are still affecting your present?

Did you check out the Rabbit Listened or Beneath from the Library by Corey Dorfeld? Are your kids enjoying those books? I would love to hear about that.

What are your plans for high school for your kiddos? What questions do you still have? Were you encouraged by the teens that you got to listen to?

Were you inspired by Erica to add more inquiry to your homeschool? What did that look like? I would love for you to tell us all about it.

How about AI? Has it done some magic for you? Are you struggling to keep it under control with your students?

Did anything from our littlest homeschoolers resonate with you? What got you excited or caught your attention?

If any of those questions made you think, oh, I don't know what she's talking about, then go back to the season six episodes and you can listen to each of those episodes.

I always want to hear if you have ideas. Is there a homeschool guru out there that you would love to hear me interview? Let me know. I'd love to hear about it.

Or is there a curriculum that you are interested in and you would like to hear an interview from an expert, whether it's a representative from that company or somebody else who uses it?

Is there a style of homeschooling you'd like to learn more about? What kinds of topics would you like to hear covered on the Sequoia Breeze? I care very much that these episodes are useful for you and I would love to hear from you more about what you've enjoyed or what was amiss.

I can take it.

And don't forget to tell me what fabulous books you're reading. I would love to find out some new books to read aloud with my kiddos or to suggest to my kids to read or even some great books for moments.

So send me your book recommendations. I'm always happy to expand our library. I hope that your family has had a fabulous Thanksgiving and that you thoroughly enjoyed the holiday season that's coming up.

I plan to do some good baking with my kids. We are going to be reading Charles Dickens the Christmas Carol together as a family as well as an advent storybook.

We are going to be going to see Hamilton at San Francisco Broadway. And I don't know, maybe I should interview my kids afterwards. They're so excited. We all are.

What are you doing for this holiday season? What are some special things that you have coming up? So I hope that you will just do a couple of clicks and do a little digging and find those buttons.

Send me some voice messages, or you can again, always email@podcasts.org have a fabulous winter and we'll see you back in the spring for season seven.

Thank you for joining us for this season six of the Sequoia Breeze Podcast. I hope it's been a great fall for you and I look forward to hearing your stories.

I've been your host, Rebecca LaSavio. I hope this season has been a breath of fresh air for your homeschool.
